Notes on "André Breton's Surrealist Objects"

Main concept: "as far as is feasible one should manufacture some of the articles one meets only in dreams, articles which are as hard to justify on the ground of utility as on that of pleasure"

Comment: What objects are in my dreams? I don't know, but I know that the only way I can remember dreams is by a simple recording device I have beside my bed in Montreal. When I wake up early in the morning after an interesting dream, I record myself, and go back to sleep. Then later on, I listen to these records. I hear my faint voice depicting visions and impressions that were already vanishing at the time of recording.

Anyhow, this whole idea is appealing to bring to reality objects that are only active in the dreamworld; to bring to the conscious what is unconscious. Because it can give insight about us.
